KURT FORREST BREWER
FOUNDER
A native of Maine, Kurt attended Oklahoma State University where he obtained his degree in Political Science and Journalism while also serving as a combat medic in the United States Army Reserves. It was during these years that Kurt served with the 44th Evacuation Hospital in support of the 101st Airborne Division in the Persian Gulf War.
After graduating from OSU, Kurt worked "on the hill" in Washington, D.C. and then for a veterans interest group as part of the Military Coalition. Kurt returned to Oklahoma to attend the University of Oklahoma College of Law, from which he graduated with distinction in 1997. He joined the premier Orlando, Florida law firm of Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster Kantor & Reed, P.A. with an emphasis on mergers, acquisitions, securitization, structured finance and large commercial real estate transactions. In 2000, Kurt joined the Orlando office of Baker & Hostetler LLP, where he expanded his practice to include business formations, partnership matters and general corporate law. Kurt opened his own firm in 2002.
Kurt has served on the boards for or advised a number of charitable organizations over the years, including the Destiny Foundation of Central Florida, the Central Florida Theatre Alliance, the Orlando Shakespeare Festival, Startup Longmont Week and the global relief organizations World Hope and Missionary Ventures International. Kurt was a founding board member of Startup Longmont and is an active member of the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce for which he serves on the Board of Directors and the Public Policy Committee. Kurt also serves on advisory panels for Faith Community Lutheran Church and Front Range Community College.
Kurt is a frequent speaker and panelist at various business events and startup weeks. He has also served as an adjunct professor of business law at Seminole State College.
An avid skier, hiker and competitive distance runner, Kurt moved his family to Longmont, Colorado (Boulder County) in the summer of 2014. Kurt splits his "business time" between Longmont, Colorado and Winter Park, Florida.

In addition to founding two law firms, Kurt is a founding partner in a coffee importing and roasting business with a primary location in Orlando, Florida (Coffee Roasters' Alliance / CRA Wholesale LLC). As an entrepreneur and small business owner, Kurt understands the challenges and legal risks faced by small businesses.
SUZANNE PAULUS MILLER
In our humble opinion, Suzanne is a real estate closing genius whose team at Sirote & Permutt PC’s Florida office assists us in closing everything from $14 million office towers to condominium developments, complex commercial properties and more. Suzanne represents clients in negotiating purchase and sale contracts, leases, real estate development, platting, residential and commercial closings as well as preparing restrictive covenants for homeowner associations, condominium owner associations and commercial associations. Additionally, Suzanne reviews and coordinates the Real Estate Owned (REO) closings for Florida. Suzanne also is a member of Sirote’s Mortgage Banking practice group where she resolves title issues for foreclosure cases.
DINAH PHILIPS
Dinah Philips has worked as a highly-skilled commercial real estate paralegal for more than a decade. Dinah's expertise includes commercial lending transactions, complex title issues and real estate closing management. In addition to assisting Brewer Law LLC with private lending and real estate closing support, Dinah also manages the commercial title insurance group for Trust Title Group LLC, the preferred title company for Brewer Law LLC. When she isn't overseeing millions of dollars in commercial property closings, Dinah is often training for her next triathlon.
